Bullshit. If this is the case they fucked up somewhere. The ECU doesn't check to see if you're cranking the starter with a key or a push button... Same goes for remote start systems. See the FAQ section for infor on checking diagnostic codes and pull the codes that are setting the CEL if you can get access to the car for a few minutes.

I have no idea what on earth you're talking about here, but it sounds like an excuse for a half assed job.

If this was originally a 7M-GE equipped vehicle make sure they installed an oil cooling circuit of some kind. The 7M-GTE came with an oil cooler (not the best setup but it helps).
