I wouldn't say the mustang rack was any better.... cheaper to service, a couple more option (as far as gearing) and it's a manual steering rack, not power so it's a bit lighter. There aren't a lot of people who've done it. I've never heard of any model RX-7 rack being swapped in. I like the progressive power steering found in later MKIII's. I find the lesser assistance at higher speeds I find highly agreeable (less likely to fly into oncoming traffic when you sneeze at 90MPH).

I see that he switched out the bumper support for a light weight aluminum bar.... I had always wondered if I could fine one close enough in size to swap onto my MKIII with little effort.
