Aftermarket pullies could provide a small hp gain (eg. 5hp - 10hp). This is most critical on engines that can't produce a lot of power to begin with (eg. Honda
), or if you're going for a particular configuration (eg. BPU+++++ - trying to max output of the oem twins).
Then AAP fans look great and give you more space in the engine bay. They also allow you to see the expensive, shiny aftermarket pullies you put in.
However, they do not outperform the oem clutch fan - especially when roadracing in hot weather.
