The guy at the auto store doesn't have all the info or is just basing that number off his experience with different engines.
The high numbers is most likely due to carbon buildup in the cylinders. The only are of concern is the high difference in compression between neighboring cylinders. I'd recommend either steaming the cylinders or running some Mopar Combustion Cylinder Cleaner through it (follow the directions).
