I'm about to replace mine again after twelve years and 70,000 miles. The last belt I replaced had 80,000 miles on it. I've always used Toyota made timing belts from the dealer although I've heard lately that Toyota is going to discontinue making it. I've never had one break on me in my stock turbo application. I'm also replacing the tension pully which has 265,000 miles on it. I got a replacement pully on eBay. The ads said it was an NSK but would arrived was KOYO. It seems heavier than stock. I was also considering getting a phenolic resin pully that didn't have a open groove in the middle like the metal one. GMB is a brand that makes one and it's very low cost but I'm not sure who makes the bearing in it.
