GTE without a doubt, the non-turbo is so much less powerful & maintenance generally is the same or easier IMO on the turbo.
Main thing to look for is that the head gasket has been replaced/properly torqued, as they weren't torqued properly from the factory and always fail eventually. Aside from that they're very tough engines. Maintenance wise it's basically the same as any engine turbo or not, regular good quality oil changes, correct mix of antifreeze/corrosion inhibitor in the coolant (and ensuring it's "burped" properly when changing it), filters and plugs. Valve adjustment is by shim on both too.
