Are you speaking of the trim on the hatch glass? If so, the bottom piece is held on by a few bolts and nuts which can be accessed under the interior panel piece along the bottom-inside of the hatch. The sides are just pressed into place on a rail running beside the glass. The top trim piece is also just pressed into place. So none of it is really difficult to remove and reset.
BTW, the bottom piece is notorious for being a source of leaking water into the hatch area. Each bolt/nut set holding the trim on has a neoprene washer to keep water out, but over time the washer degrades to dust and will need to be replaced, or another method used to seal the bolt holes from water.
