After work it started normal, got home and later on went to move it and same thing, no start. Checked battery, it was fine. Could this be security or starter problem? Can hear faint click when trying.
Thanx

Hi , I see this is an old post , but are you still having cranking problems ? I had a Mk 3 Auto Turbo that would not crank , the problem was overcome by using the wire that energises the solenoid to energise a new relay instead , the relay was connected to the battery and the other side to the starter solenoid ( from where the original was connected ) . relay wiring instructions should be enclosed . After carrying out this mod , cranking problems were a thing of the past . Good luck .
