Is it possible to switch the N/A manifold to a turbo and run it like a turbo? of course there is going to be a intercooler but is there anything else I have to do like the injectors, heads, gaskets, etc. Please somebody let me know I want to build my street machine. I already helped put a LS1 in a RX-7. I want something to compete with that. Thanx

Which manifold are you talking about? Intake or exhaust? The heads on the turbo and N/A are the same. the intake is basically the same. either way, your gonna have to do more than just swap manifolds to get 650hp unless you use nothing but NOS. On a turbo, the manifold design is no great concern since the air is forced in unlike a N/A. You will need a Header type exhaust manifold capable of mounting a T44 or larger turbo with a 4" wastegate flange. The stock turbo manifold is only good to about 300hp, and thats with the turbo upgrade. Bigger injectors (at least 550), aftermarket engine management system, the stock ECU is only good to about 450hp and serious bottom end beef up to handle the power. You will need a bigger than stock intercooler and radiator. Throw all the stock bolts out and stud everything. Im building a road racer 87 turbo to put out over 650hp with no NOS.
