Cam position sensor and Knock sensor

yes the ecu will always search for the best timing , it does have a knock sensor. it still needs to be set correctly, jumper with a piece of wire t & e1 in diag box in the engine bay, hook up light and see if its at 10 degrees or whatever is stated under the hood on the sticker.. if its off, loosen cam sensor, it looks like a distributor with out the wires..set it and tighted back up and unhook..
