would like to interface with some folks that are racing MKIIIs in autocross events. Thanks to a lot of input, I'm beginning to get a better idea of what I need to do with the suspension and weight reduction- still need to better understand engine mods.

Best engine recommendations (non-turbo build up or single/ twin turbo). Probably don't want more than 300- 325HP/ ft-lb of torque at the rear wheels initially (weight will be down around 3000lb). This will yield a little better than 1HP per pound of weight. I'm concerned that power response time/turbo lag will be a problem while negotiating an autocross course?

Lightened fly wheel? aluminum drive shaft? Will the rear end and tranmission take a beating??

Appreciate any input!!
