Concerning your heater blower, a/c difficulty. I had an '85 celica when mine went. I have an '84 supra now and i think the heating system is near identical. On the celica it turned out to be a breaker located behind a plastic kick panel on the passengers side foot area in front of the door, under the dash. it was a two prong little breaker with a metel cap with a hole in the middle. I was told to simply reset the breaker by sticking a pin in the hole and pressing on a switch inside. This didn't work and toyota wanted $80 for a new one so i went to the wreckers and pulled one off another car for fifty cents and it workrd like a charm. The heater blower motor can be a little tricky to replace, try taking out the passenger side of the lower dash (glove box and below) for better access. You should't need to remove too much else but it will take a little wrestling to get it out.
