I was just checking out sites like autotrader.com and the biggest selling point people seem to have in that the car has not been modified. And those cars were selling close to thier original price tags. Do you know why? Because people like many on this forum who take an all time classic (trust me it will be regarded as one if not already) and modifying it beyond recognition. This car was so ahead of it's time and so brilliantly engineered, and to have some awful movie (face it, it was...just had cool cars in it and vin diesel doing whatever it is that he does best) to cause every wannabe in america to buy them up and turn them into cars nobody else wants....because they are no longer toyota supras anymore than Le Mans GTS cars are the cars they are built off of (granted they are cool looking, but I don't want one to be in my garage, I want the original). People, toyota sold less than 20,000 Gen. IV Supra Turbos. They were removed from our market to make room in their factories for the production of SUV's that have done as much damage to the american driving spirit as the oil crisis of the 1970's. So as admirers of this amazing piece of machinery, it is our responsibility preserve these automotive treasures and not make the same mistake as our parents who allowed the great musclecars of their time be destroyed with rust and disrepair. Now they are spending tens of thousands to restore the cars to get them to look new again. So hold on to your stock Supras and take good care of them and watch thier value skyrocket in the coming years.
