The same thing happened to me on a trip to Florida when I was driving non-stop.
The car would not start anymore.
The starter would not turn.
Then it started and ran fine for like another month, then would not start again.
I had it towed to a shop and it was found to have a bad
relay.
So yes, that is a definite possibility from my experience.
