In Need of Help With Starting Prob
I just replaced the air intake chamber gaskets on my 87 turbo and put everything back together (The car has been hacked up before I got it so I'm finding all sorts of fun things) and now the car just turns over without even beggining to sound like it will start. It dosen't seem to be firing at all and for some reason my alarm(factory) is So Quiet that you can barely tell it is going off with the hood up(Forgot to turn the key on at first when I put the battery back in) I have been looking all around the area that I worked on for a missing wire (I seem to recall seeing 3 wires going to my positive terminal and can only find 2)
I thought there was the starter wire, one feeding the alternator and the alarm wire all tied to the positive terminal. Am I wrong about this? I also found that a wire was broken on the egr side vsv but I don't know if that could be it, I am going to take the connector apart and try to run new wires and see but I wanted to ask for advice on this problem in case this is not it.
The car drove in there fine and I didn't touch the timing ect. so I'm not sure what I could have done I am sorta teaching myself how to work on my own from this sight and the online tsrm and hanes ect.
Thanx for any help anyone can give me.
