There is nothing better than a good tune up. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Of course any vacuum leaks need to be fixed. Make sure of the firing order, 153624 and make sure your cam drive belt hasn't slipped a tooth. With it running that rich you might have even melted the cat. converter and created a lot of backpressure.

Lots of things to check, but do the basics and then check compression. No cold start will make it very hard to start when it is cold. If you could, you might even try swapping your AFM to see if that makes a difference, oh and check your air cleaner.
