A/C question

I have had my car for almost 4yrs now, and my AC only worked for 1 summer

. Sucks for me though, the only way I can fix it is going to a junkyard or recharging it. But I have to go to the states to recharge it, because apparantly the old style AC was banned in Canada about 4years ago or something....haha.
