Tokyo Drift did seem to manage to capture the rush and skill of the sport. I'm not an expert seeing as evertime I've drifted was less than on purpose. I can say that watching the Silvia get trashed made me cringe. It was like watching someone get kicked in the nuts.
The live action version of Initial D with the venerable AE86 Trueno. I've seen only a couple clips of it and it looks really good. Alot of the same effects that show of the precision of the drivers.
A couple other good fuel consuming -although not so much racing- films are Bullit Steve Mcqueen(sp?) And The Blues Brothers. The chase scene in the Blues Bros still holds the record for the most cars destroyed in one film... Sweet.
