if you buy a clip make positivly sure you get a front sump 2jz. ive done a 1jzgte swap in my mk 2.leave the trans in its original location. use modified 5m engine mounts.use a 2JZ bell housing.this will bolt directly to your w58 trans.the aluminum block mounts on the 1jz,swap left to right they bolt right to the engine, this will put the engine right above the existing welded mounts on the cross member.the only metal welding fab you have to do is motor mounts.the fire wall will have to be dimpled on the pass side to clear the rear turbo.use a thick exhaust solid rubber hanger to dimple it in.this way it wont chip or butch up the fire wall. ball peen hammer dents look crappy.use the 2jztt fan.it may rob some hp but will be reliable.ive been an auto tech for 16 years and it took me 8 months to build mine, but i can tell you it will be worth your time and patience. later brian
