The stock/original wheel tire combo for your car was 225/50/16.
225=8.86"
245=9.65"
You would need to ask your tire dealer if 245's will fit on your stock rims...I think they will.
The 50 profile is no problem BUT tire size by itself doesn't mean squat for handling. You need to consider sidewall stiffness, tread type, rubber, etc.
If it's just a daily driver with no real performance issues go to your local tire and wheel place and they can tell you what will fit. You can usually get some good tire/wheel packages from them on sale to upgrade from those ugly stock wheels. I went to 235/45/17 on my car. All 4 wheels/tires about US$1,000.00.
The tires suck on a road course track but most street tires do.
I may get a seperate set of track wheels/tires...same size in front with Toyo RA1'a, and 255/45/18 on rear.
(my car is lowered so 17" by themselves wont look like this.)
