OK I saw he said auto and I got confused. Then try bleeding the clutch slave cylinder first before taking everything out cause it is easy. Down on the slave cylinder on the tranny there is a little nipple unscrew it a bit and put a catch pan under it and pump the clutch pedal a few times if it spirts a bit when you do so there was air in there. air in the line would cause the clutch to not release all the way.
