Fuel filter location?

i have a na 1986 supra and i was wonder if anyone could tell me were the fuel filter is, is it at the rear of the car buy the tank or at the front of the car by the starter?

manual says that the 1992 model has there's at the tank and the 1982 models have there by the starter. Any help would be great.
