That sensor is the BVSV, shown in the TSRM. Check out this link (turbo model) or this link (N/A model) for vacuum line diagram showing you what lines connect to them. I just finished fixing a vacuum leak in my 87 N/A; it hasn't been fun. One of my problems happened to be that I had the two vacuum lines mixed up at the BVSV on the thermostat housing... oops

*Line L=300 on both diagrams connects to the purge port on the charcoal canister
