The only other parts below the oil filter are the oil return pie from the cooler that goes into the side of the sump and the engine mount. Unless it’s part of that metal plate Toyota loosely fit to the side of the engine, to make you think you have a big end knocking.

Yea, the feed and return spots on a NA block are not open, but the casting spots are there. I took a pic of what I'm talking about :
