I will most definately need to replace the head, so I was wondering if a 1jzGTE head will bolt up to a GE block? I know that a 2jzGTE head will not bolt to a GE bottom end, is this the same case with the 1jz head? Also, my pistons are a bit scored but not in horrible condition. I am also aware that the 2jzGE pistons don't respond to boost very well. What modifications are required to put GTE pistons in a GE block?

I would like to salvage as most of this 2jzGE as possible. I may just end up buying a 1jzGTE complete long block, but If I can use a 3.0 bottom end then I will.

Thanks for help in advance, sorry if I come off as a newb
Actually, a 2jz-gte head bolts to a 2jz-ge bottom end just fine.

Also, no modifications are required to fit 2jz-gte pistons into a 2jz-ge bock. Note however, that the 2jz-gte pistons will not be fully functional without the oil squirters that are present in the 2jz-gte block.
