Actually, with a very low mileage mkiv tt (i.e. 30K miles or less), you can pump out 450+rwhp through a 6spd. It takes several other supporting modifications to achieve this (referred to as bpu++++). After that (anything over about 475rwhp through a 6spd), you need a single.
