Vibration around 20 - 30 mph... Clutch Changed
Sup guys, I JUST changed out the clutch and finished today. I test drove it and I noticed it started vibrating around 30 - 40 mph... but very minor... still noticeable. Then I drove it on freeway and got back to surface streets and the vibrations started at 20 - 30 mph but slightly stronger... The RPMs doesn't cause the vibrations. *forgot* It's a clean 1990 Supra 7M-GE, so non-turbo. Stock. 185K Miles.
I don't know what could be causing that... but here is somethings to think about that I think could be the problem:
- I had a little trouble getting the transmission back... i had | | this much of a gap left that I couldn't put in by hand... so i screwed the top of the transmission back in which a minor pop which i assumed that the spline itself popped into place where the pilot bearing goes and i torqued everything down..
- I noticed the center mount drive shaft to the back gearbox... its off to the left (when facing from the back to front). I'm not sure if that is normal or not.
- I've left the front end on jack stands for a week and a half.
Those are the only three things that I think would cause the vibrations... but I don't know if you guys have any other insight why I could of created the vibrations...
Thanks!
