Not really a starter removal question as a starter bolt removal question.... How the heck do you get to these things. I have the front end up on jackstands. I figure the lower bolt is easiet to remove that way. What about the upper? Elbows and extensions??? The bottom bolt goes all the way through the transmission bellhousing and has a nut on the end. I figure a box wrench on one end and a 1/2 drive ratchet on the other should work fine. Anybody ever done this, replace the starter that is. Anybody got any tips? The starter is already off the block as the outer casing broke. I am not really worried about getting the bolts out as getting them back in. Help me out here guys. Don't suggest the TSRM as it just says to remove the bolts and take out the starter... installation is the reverse
