Is that clicking sound coming from the right side kick panel of the interior? If so, then its your starter solenoid, chances are it doesn't need to be replaced. The problem usually lye's with the wires from/to the solenoid and starter. The only thing is you have to pull the dash out and rewire a new wire to do it correctly, but people have bypassed it all together and put a aftermarket solenoid in the engine bay and that wont require any major parts removal.
My car has a similar problem, some days it wont start, others it will start with no problem. I don't like the prospect of cutting the harness and splicing a bypass to the starter so I haven't taken that route. I plan to pull the dash and rewire it.
If its not the solenoid, then its probably the alarm system. Try locking the car up and arming the system. Then unlocking it with the key it may start.
Typically if you have a clicking sound and it wont start then the solenoid wire is the culprit.
Good luck.
