Suspension/Tranny Q's

Hey guys just two quick inquiries:

First, I have an 87 Turbo with about 170k miles on the body, so the supension is obviously aged. Say I would like to freshen up the supension, what ideas can you give me minus the shocks and springs. IE bushings etc.

Second, I have had this tranmission problem since I bought the car. Its a manual and it pops out of 2nd gear and that one only, especially if im going about 15-20mph it wont stay in unless I hold it real hard and usually makes a loud clunk when engaging. Could it be a syncro? What ever the problem any estimates on fixing that gear?
