Yes, you can turbo it later (either twins or a single), but for twins you'd need to change the head. Like Curtis says, there'd be limits if you single turbo'd the 2jz-ge due to the higher compression pistons...probably about 400rwhp or so max. Even if you did all of this (including the fuel system and ignition systems you'd need to beef up to support this level), you'd still be way behind what you'd have with a full mkiv tt because of the braking system, the suspension, transmission, differential, etc., etc. In other words, the mkiv tt is a LOT more than just an n/a with turbos.
