I normally leave the elbow attached and undo it from the down-pipe.
The most time consuming bit is undoing the two nuts at the bottom of the oil return pipe. Be very careful Kevin when you reconnect the oil feed banjo bolt. make sure the washes are in place and the bolt goes into the bock straight and not cross-threaded. I've never tried it; but some owners have undone the two nuts fixed under the turbo to release the oil pipe, which would make it a lot easier.
