The only ones I really took mental note of were my first and my last race. All rolling (from 50 mph) because I cant speed shift first to second .. that grinds the gears so I have to let off to shift.
First one... 200x Mustang (beautiful yellow beasty) smoked windows, no idea who was driving... very first real run in my Supra. He came up beside me and I was in 5th gear just coasting. Then he gunned it and I thought.. hmm.. I wonder. Downshifted into 3rd, pegged the throttle (instant boost- woot!) and started catching up. I watched him shift twice while I was still in 3rd, and I was beside him, I hit 4th gear and started pulling away, and at 5th I was at 180 kph (not sure what that is in MPH... ) and started to get vibration in the car, so I dropped off... was about 5 cars ahead of him at that point anyway : D
then I put my car in for an inspection/tune at Toyota to see what all they would spot for me (they spotted nothing except the spark plugs were submerged in oil, the wires were shot and the motor should run.. lol). Amazing they didnt spot the cracked hoses, the leaking coolant line, the missing vacuum line (they didnt put it back on).. so.. obviously.. they wont see my car again, I will just do it myself. But during that race.. my whole top of my motor had over a litre of oil on it.. so.. not bad
The last race though was a STI.. rolling start as well. Not sure of the year because I am not terribly familiar with these cars, but at 160 kph.. I was about a car and a half behind him and he was slowly increasing that. We ran out of road, so I dont know his top end or if I could have caught up to him.. but I still have a plain stock 7mGTE with cracked hoses..
Just goes to show you... the beast that is Supra just doesnt really like being dominated.
