Clutch wont go into gear... Help?!

So i was driving on the highway an my friend told me to drop it from 5th to 3rd. so i did and the engine reved up really fast and i put it back in 5th and it started coasting. my friends say it the clutch because after putting it in 1st gear it wouldnt go anywhere, but after coming home my step-dad ut it in 1st then started the car and drove fine, but it wouldnt go to any other ger besides reverse if you put it their before starting the car. so my step-dad said it wasn't the clutch, possibly the master/slave cyinder, so i repaced those and still the clutch wont go into gear.

Anyone know what the problem might be?? if you live in the Puyallup area i would greatly appreciate it if you came and looked at it. also when pushing on the clutch pedal its not stiff, it comes back up.
