car wont idle. just dies.. how do you set timing by yourself?

Thanks bill. Its definately not a rod knock.. its just real bad quality cuz it was taken off my phone.

so if i get someone to keep the car going. is there any optimal rpm they should stay at? and should they keep it as steady as possible.
ya i have a timing light i'll check it out.
