eff all that, i was sick of the all burgondy on burgondy. and would cost me a furtune buying each peice the collor i wanted on ebay and not to mention finding the color i wanted...and all the shipping...so i just ripped out every piece of my car and got interior vinle paint for the dash and doors and plastic interior pant for the trunk lining.

picked up the paint from autozone..there like 8 bucks a can and takes quite a few cans...i bought like arounf 10 for the whole inside of the car.. cuz i was worried and skeptical about fadeing or scratching so i caked on many coats...
i went black and kept some burgondy details like the middle of the door where the unlock buttons are..speaker covers and such..so i can keep my seats in cuz the guy i bought it from had it all reupholstered burgondy leather...but now rethinking after all the work i might go over with grey instead of keeping the burgondy details...cuz my seats weigh to much so thinking of getting racing seats. and selling the new stock looking ones with motors...burgondy dosent set well in my brain...makes me think of an old dry 70s look, but cant lie with the black i painted next to it it looks dark purple and looks like the "batman returns look"...the vinle paint also works great with painting the carpet!!...
(i know it sounds trailer trash or from where im from, south louisiana..levy trash)
but if you know what your doing and have the skill and patience it can turn out very professional...just a tip i wish i knew before...if your painting your dash. dont use a gloss...itll blind you when the sun hits it and reflects off your windshield...and taking that dash out is somthing when your half way start... you sit back and wonder why the EFF you started that shit...and a smallll maybe 3 inch philips head screwdriver is a lifesaver...or you have really tiny hands..oh and dont try to take the dash out without takin the steering wheel off first...youll start to hate life..the whole thing took me like 3 to 4 days. (a whole day of drying for each coat) they say it takes less but i dont trust them cuz i will never pull my dash out again.

btw i got my mk3 like a year and a half ago...so be gentle. im bad at spelling. lol i just joined this forum to reseach the 2jz swap...printed out over 40 pages of info over a 8 month period..should start it soon.. love this forum.
