The Mystery Lever?

Mine is an '89 N/A, here in USA. What year is yours, Suprra Girl??
I'm suspecting that it may have been a USA thing, a year model thing, or your inside parts may have been removed.
Mine operates as described in earlier post, with the inner part of the lever contacting a white plastic (spring loaded) lever inside the door post.
P.S. We sure do come up with some weird/interesting things on our cars. Its a fetish with Supra owners, I suppose. We wanna know wtf things are, and wth they do. :lol:
