I have a 95 supra Na-t and I am looking at changing the intake and throttle body to the tt style aftermarket one, however I have noticed that the standard throttle body has 2 sensors (Throttle position sensor and Idle control I believe) and the aftermarket throttle bodies all seem to have a fitting for only 1 sensor (the TPS). I was wondering has anyone done this mod or knows how to overcome the problem?

I am not too clever with the inner workings of engines so maybe the idle control is bypassed/ replaced or something??

Thank you in advance for any help,

Jason
On a 2jz-gTe, the second sensor on the 2jz-gte throttle body is for the secondary throttle plate...which is assocated with the oem traction control system. There are kits available to remove the secondary throttle plate and the entire traction control system, since it is somewhat unsophisticated in its operation. Many prefer to drive without it or replace it with something more feature-rich like RaceLogic. You could use one of the trac-elimination kits to remove the secondary throttle plate and there would be no need for the secondary TPS.

About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
