Note - it's fairly common for the seal around the shift shaft to leak. The usual fix is to (carefully!!!) remove the leaking one, and then replace it with two brand-new oem seals (yes, there is room for two). The seal removal is tricky because the tranny case is aluminum - any tool tough enough to hook the seal and pull it out could easily scratch the bore (which would lead to leakage even with a new seal). If you're interested, the tool I made to do this job was a tiny, flattened hook that I slid on the inside of the seal, between the shift shaft and the seal. Pulling in this part of the seal only kept the hook far away from the aluminum. Also note that this fix is pretty much only for the more anal-retentive Supra owners - the shift shaft is at the top of the tranny, so it doesn't leak much at all from that point (just enough to put a layer of dust on that part of the tranny).

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
