The first bearing from O'Reilly had the tabs in the wrong place. He re-ordered to be sure of the part but I expect this one will be the same. I am heading up to check it out. In the meantime, I was told by a friend at a driveshaft company that he can get me a $45 bearing and I can open my old outer and install the new rubber and bearing inside of the old cage/mount. It looks easy enough, drill out 3 spot welds and do the swap and then re-weld.
Any thoughts on this idea?
I let you know about the re-ordered bearing later.
