And if I switched back to the stock flywheel would that fix my problem?
It's totally normal, and won't harm anything. Everyone that has switched from the oem dual-mass flywheel to a solid (one-piece) aftermarket flywheel has had this noise. It's usually worse with the a/c on. It comes from the hearing gears in the transmission 'slapping' against each other whenever the rpm in the engine changes (which is very frequently). An oem dual-mass flywheel eliminates this noise by absorbing the rpm changes - the dual-mass flywheel is two independently-rotating pieces connected with springs, so rpm changes are absorbed by the flywheel. The heavier oem flywheel also makes the car easier to drive, at the expense of rpm responsiveness...

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
