you got brake fluid in the master cylinder?
either A: you have a pretty bad leak...
B: massive air in the brake lines...
C: a bad master cylinder
did you do any brake work in the last few days?
more often than not on older cars ( happened to me) you go to change the brakes and you will be advised to put a block of wood behind the brake peddle. to stop the peddle going all the way to the floor and over extending the "rubber" inside the master cylinder. the "rubber," "rips." and you need to rebuild or buy a new master cylinder.
(proof your master cylinder is faulty) you bleed and bleed and bleed but your brakes are still soggy.. You also see no leaking!
60 dollars auto zone and 3 minutes worth of work.
See the thread "maw and pa kettle change their brakes" do a search for it.
i re read your thread.
no leaks..
no brake light.. brake light is only a sensor showing you when your fluid is low. no leaks means no low fluid, no light...
