Sorry! but it’s more than likely the shaft end is damaged where the pulley is attached. What normally happens is the pulley (which is fair chunk of metal) wobbles about on the end of the shaft and chews up the key-way and shaft. If the crank needs to be removed than the engine will need to be pulled to gain access to the sump. If you could post a photo of the shaft end, I`m sure someone could advise.
