Well...I MUST throw this out to you. DON'T drive thru water or big puddles with the intake so low ! My daughter blew up her 2000 Neon (rod thru the block) because the intake (factory) is at the bottom of the bumper. Integras, and lots of others are too low, also. She turned onto a street at night (10-15mph?) and could not tell that the water had formed a 12" lake across the road.
I put my K&N directly onto the AFM, then channeled air up to the opening from the front grill using some galvanized sheet metal.
There's an article on the SOGI site about using some clothes dryer ducting to do what i did.
Also, my friend just threw a rod thru his block on a Scion. Water...bad!!!
