the 1jz head flows better than the 2jz head. the 2jz head has a "s" shape in the exaust ports bettwen cyls 4 and 5. the 1jz head does not have this.
1jz Cylinder bore was 86 mm (3.39 in) and stroke was 71.5 mm (2.81 in)

ths shorter stoke is what lets rev so high.
