In rare occasions you could have a diode short in the alternator, an alternator bench test from one of your friendly parts stores should tell you if it is bad. Don't rule out the possibility just because you just replaced one. IIRC you can check for a short by:

1. Remove your - Battery Cable
2. Ground Volt meter to - battery post
3. connect other test lead to your disconnected - battery cable
4. number that reads is your short/draw*

*NOTE: Be advised there will always be a small draw for your stereo/clock/cpu memory
