Best year? There isn't any one year which I would say is much better than any other. There wear cosmetic changes to the 1989 model but beyond that the newer the better.
I also recommend against buying a non-turbo if you're planning on adding or swapping in a turbo... It's FAR cheaper to upgrade an already turbo equipped car than it is to turbo and upgrade a non-turbo car.

True, and i was only looking for ones with a turbo, but it seems like all i can find that have low mileage, are n/a, others have leaking head, or rod knock, if i got 1 with either of those how much would it cost to fix if even possible. Also what should i look for when buying an mkIII?
