BBC? Big Brake Cover? British Broadcasting Corporation? Oooooooooooh....I bet you mean "BCC". ROFL.

Hokeydokey, here goes: Nope, don't use it. On a japanese-spec Mkiv TT, the TPS (Turbo Pressure Sensor - no cover sheet required) signal is used to control your injectors. The BCC clips the TPS signal just below boost cut, which means all the charge air past the boost cut point would get no extra fuel. Can you say melted pistons?

If you're interested, this doesn't happen with us-spec because the injectors' rate is primarily controlled using the MAF signal; the main thing that the TPS is used for is fuel cut. (I'm not 100% sure but it may also be used to control the 9v<->12v operation of the fuel pump.)

Now, how do you limit fuel cut on a japanese-spec Mkiv TT? A prize of limited value will be awarded to the forum member that answers this question prior to this Sunday March 27th, 2011 at 9pmEST.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
