Question was...has anyone tried it??? I don't think so. I do know that on many vehicles, a chip, or moded ecu can give you 10-25% more power. These are usually done to V8s. I've ridden in many stock ones (I sold cars at Dodge and Toyota for 3 years), and customers have come back in and let me test their 'new found' Horses.

I believe the racing engineers have not spent any time on our older MKIIIs due to the lack of 'recouping' of their $$$ investment. (lack of a volume sales)
