Well you have so many ways you can go about this; I'll start with the cheapest and work my way up to the most expensive. You have your NA 200hp stock which is the 7MGE and you could produce at the most around 400+hp but have to change out your bottom end of your engine and the head gasket while your at it. They have a gear set for the W58 tranny that will allow you to run 650hp but it's not cheap $12,000. Next you have the turbo version 7MGTE 230hp stock, which can produce up to 700+hp but when you get around 450 you'll want to replace the bottom end of the engine. This one come with the R154 tranny that can withstand the higher hp and there's a whole lot of performance parts for this configuration also. The next one is the 1jzgte which also comes in the NA version as well, but this one comes with and awesome tranny a speed 6 and have heard of 1,400+hp; this one is the most popular engine swap. It's more expensive and the last one but the most expensive is the 2jzgte which I believe is the twin turbo version. So you have quite a choice when it comes to doing engine swaps in all, it depends on how much you want to spend. But this is not a cheap hobby either way. Hey bud u could do the swap im doin in mine makes hell of a lot more power and stronger and the sound is amazing its a 1uzfe v8 out of a lexus ls gs or sc 400. Its a 4.0 liter dual overhead cvam 32 valve forged steel bottom end all aluminum engine very strong very fast u can supercharge it or itb it whichever but u can keep the 5 speed with a conversion kit and man im tellin u the sound of the motor is unbelieveable look on youtube look up uzfe supra and thats it its been done and will work but u need to get a uzfe outta a 95 and older lexus becuz its still obd1 not obd2 less computers more power
